Artist: Somadrone Select Artist Jape Redneck Manifesto Beautiful Unit Si Schroeder Goodtime John Somadrone The Warlords Of Pez David O'Doherty   In around 1997 Somadrone began to document some home recordings on an old tape machine and 4 track recorder. By adding some additional electronic drum beats and keyboards to previous guitar sessions the 10" e.p. works had begun. This 10" which only had 100 copies pressed on Mango music in 1999, consisted of dirty 4 track ambient moog synthesizer recordings and electro-pop numbers. At this stage i was involved with a number of other projects which included The Connect Four Orchestra, Redneck Manifesto, Jape, & Goodtime John. The live set was begining to take shape with the addition of other instruments including vibraphone, viola & chello. 'Fuzzing away To A Whisper' is a collection of recordings from four years of producing. They range from electro-acoustic pieces to electronic pop music. While pursuing a PhD in Music, Somadrone’s third album “Of Pattern and Purpose” was assembled. The first to incorporate vocal accompaniment, it is composed mostly of miniature symphonies and electronic interludes. Released May 07, will be available nationwide on Trust me I’m a Thief records.
