TRUST ME I'M A THIEF WINS IRISH DIGITAL MEDIA AWARD
Trust Me I'm A Thief is pleased to announce that it was chosen as the overall winner in the 'Best Digital Music Service Online' category of the Irish Digital Media Awards held in the Burlington Hotel last night. This category included EircomNet Music Club, Today FM, CPU.ie, & CD WOW.
We didn't get to make a speech so here it is! Given that the site and label has only been up and running for just over four months, plus the calibre of the other short-listed finalists, it is a great achievement for everyone involved with the label. We would like to take the opportunity to commend the judges for their decision, a decision we feel is a very positive one for the independent Irish music sector. When we were told we were short-listed the general consensus by us, and by those who are familiar with the Irish independent music scene was that we did not actually have a chance of winning, because of the scale of the competition involved. That's not to say that we didn't think we deserved it! We do!
We would like to take the opportunity to thank the artists on the label, Stevo Berube from www.berubecommunications.com, www.cpu.ie, Digital Media Intelligence, Ciaran Dwyer and lots of other people!
